The Development
Nestled perfectly between expansive skies and big city amenities

Ranchers’ Rise is a unique community in northeast Okotoks that blends wide-open spaces, extraordinary homes and the inspiring beauty of nature. This exclusive collection of homesites is nestled within Okotoks Air Ranch, Canada’s first private air park community. The land upon which it sits was first homesteaded in the late 1800s and was home to several pioneering families until William “Orville” Rowland eventually acquired it in the 1970s.
Here, a scenic hike, an invigorating bike ride or a leisurely stroll is always at hand. With breathtaking vistas from almost every vantage point, Ranchers' Rise strives to offer the best residential living in southern Alberta. Whether you're marveling at the planes taking off, biking the winding trails, or spending quiet time next to serene ponds, life in these great outdoors is nothing short of spectacular.
In late 2010, Bordeaux became the manager of Ranchers’ Rise in partnership with its current ownership group. Company-wide, we are proud to be associated with this project and are truly honoured to help usher the original vision to completion. Together with the ownership group, we look forward to creating one of the finest and most innovative communities in the province.
Bordeaux Developments is committed to the environmental stewardship of the wetlands area while enhancing opportunities for the community to experience its natural beauty. We are committed to developing parks and trails in Ranchers' Rise and connecting them to the regional trail system so homeowners can enjoy convenient access to the rest of their community and beyond.

Play, Laugh, Live
A community that offers recreation, parks, and amenities.

Community Sports Fields Local team sports and recreation opportunities make it easy for families to head outside and be active. Residents in Ranchers' Rise will be able to make use of a planned soccer pitch (planned for install in 2012) and baseball diamond overlooking the wetlands. These facilities will provide a gathering point for amateur sports teams, families and friends from throughout Okotoks to play and have fun.
A school is also being contemplated in the area and potential locations are being evaluated. Final use of this site has not yet been determined.
Parks & Trails Convenient, well-equipped playgrounds will feature play equipment, seating areas and environmentally friendly pet stations. An extensive trail system plan will offer residents a variety of routes including a short circuit around the block, a leisurely stroll to a nearby playground, a beautiful hike to the wetlands, or even an invigorating trek to the Sheep River escarpment.
