Friendly Ghost Shades
This fun DIY décor by Martha Stewart will surely be a favorite of your kids! All you need is:
- Paper window shade
- Thin white paper
- Painter’s tape
- Spray adhesive
- Ghost template
To make the shades, trim the paper window shade to fit your window. Print out the ghost templates, cut and trace them onto your thin white paper, then cut them out. Stretch your shade out and tape it on a surface. Spray the back of your paper ghost cutout with adhesive and press it onto the shade. You’re done!
Lights in a Can
Tin can luminaries are a great addition to your outdoor Halloween décor as it adds a bit of eeriness. The awesome part is that it’s super easy to make…and it’s cheap!
All you need are two tin cans. Put water inside your cans and place in your freezer. Once the water inside freezes, take the cans out and write ‘Trick’ on one and ‘Treat’ on the other. Use a nail and hammer to trace the words. You can then melt the ice by putting the cans under hot running water.
Pat your cans dry and start painting! Once the paint dries, put a candle inside the cans to light them up. These are great for your front steps or along the driveway. If you’re going to put a Halloween display in your Ranchers’ Rise backyard- these are a great addition!.
